Paola C. Hemsley concentrates her practice in employment and labor law, business litigation and insurance and reinsurance coverage litigation.
Paola has handled a wide variety of employment actions for corporate clients and insurance companies, including CEPA matters and discrimination and wrongful discharge claims. She provides employment counseling and legal advice on a wide range of workplace issues, such as harassment, wage and hour, family leave, COBRA and other employee benefits. She also prepares, develops and reviews employment policies and handbooks.
In addition, Paola handles insurance coverage actions, including defending against coverage and bad faith claims in regards to property, commercial casualty, general liability, professional liability, directors and officers liability and other specialized coverages. She also has experience with reinsurance coverage disputes involving quota share and excess of loss contracts.
Professional History
Prior to joining Saiber, Paola served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sylvia B. Pressler, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.
