Krystal D. Riebesell concentrates her practice on insurance and reinsurance litigation, with an emphasis on insurance coverage matters in both state and federal court.
Krystal represents some of the largest domestic and multinational insurers in the world in a range of complex insurance coverage matters. She has extensive experience in litigating and arbitrating insurance coverage disputes involving professional liability, property and casualty liability, medical malpractice, general commercial liability and product liability. She also litigates insurance fraud matters involving violations of the New Jersey Insurance Fraud Prevention Act. In addition, Krystal serves as monitoring counsel to numerous U.S. and Bermuda-based insurers, providing independent review and analysis on cases to assess insurers’ exposure and to limit liability and damages.
In addition, Krystal has experience handling reinsurance coverage disputes and arbitrations on behalf of both domestic and international clients. Her work in this area involves both excess of loss and quota share contracts and various types of underlying business. She has advised reinsurers in matters involving complex issues of reinsurance contract interpretation, allocation, and bad faith.
Krystal also works on employment related disputes alleging breach of contract as well as wrongful discharge, discrimination, retaliation, harassment and hostile work environment, under both federal and state law.
