Associate Development

We encourage our attorneys to assume responsibility early in their careers. Our goal is to have associates providing hands-on support as soon as possible by working directly with clients, participating in court procedures and depositions, leading client calls and attending closings. Employment and Labor Law Associate

SAIBER LLC is looking to hire an Employment and Labor Law attorney to join its team in our Madison office. This is an excellent opportunity for an initiative-taking and talented attorney who seeks challenging work assignments, mentorship, and growth opportunity with 3-6 years’ experience. This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Offer expert legal advice and guidance on labor and employment law issues, including hiring practices, discrimination, harassment, employee benefits, terminations, and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various employment-related agreements, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure legal compliance.
  • Provide guidance on internal investigations and recommend actions in response to employee complaints and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to prevent disputes and litigation.
  • Assist with all aspects of litigation, including case assessment, strategy development, and discovery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop training programs on compliance and best practices.
  • Support clients in labor and employment-related disputes, including administrative proceedings and arbitrations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to provide well-informed guidance on various employment matters.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Practiced in one or more areas of civil litigation, including employment and labor law.
  • Motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong writing, research, and interpersonal skills.
  • Admission to New Jersey and/or New York Bar required; Pennsylvania Bar is a plus.

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $144,000-$164,000. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications.

Litigation Legal Assistant

Job Summary

Saiber is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join our Litigation Group in our Madison, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of law firm experience, a strong understanding of litigation procedures, and the ability to effectively support multiple attorneys.  This critical team member will have strong skills in both legal and administrative support. This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe, draft, edit, and proofread legal documents and correspondence for multiple attorneys
  • Enter attorney time into the billing system; generate, edit, and finalize pre-bills and bills; maintain edit sheets and forward invoices to clients
  • Editing and formatting skills required include advanced functions such as Table of Content (TOC) and Table of Authority (TOA)
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, court appearances, and meetings; maintain attorney calendars and docketing deadlines
  • File, organize, scan, copy, and maintain legal documents and case files
  • Accurately prepare and electronically file documents with federal, state, and local courts
  • Respond to phone calls and emails professionally and appropriately
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail, including overnight deliveries, certified mail, and legal service filings
  • Prepare and submit expense reports and American Express charges

Requirements and Skills

  • Strong understanding of legal documents, litigation procedures, and legal terminology; familiarity with federal, state, and local court rules and e-filing systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, including track changes, document formatting, and TOA/TOC creation using Best Authority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, including Bates stamping, document conversion, and redaction
  • Experience with time entry and document management systems such as SurePoint and NetDocuments preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and colleagues
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
  • Punctual with excellent attendance.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a two-year college degree
  • 3 years of legal assistant or similar law firm experience required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds as needed

Pay: $60,000-$75,000. Salary commensurate with experience.
