ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT

We encourage our attorneys to assume responsibility early in their careers. Our goal is to have associates providing hands-on support as soon as possible by working directly with clients, participating in court procedures and depositions, leading client calls and attending closings. Our dedication to serving our clients is paramount and only attainable by proactively incorporating the help of our associates.

Our members maintain an open door policy at all times to encourage an open dialogue between members and associates. We provide mentors to new associates to guide learning, development and transition, as well as to act as a professional development sounding board. Part-time Employment and Labor Law Attorney

SAIBER LLC is looking to hire a part-time Employment and Labor Law attorney to join its team in our Florham Park office. This is an excellent opportunity for an initiative-taking and talented attorney who seeks challenging work assignments, mentorship, and growth opportunity. This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Researching state and federal employment laws and proactively counseling private and public sector employers on compliance issues.
  • Developing and implementing employment handbooks, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations and draft comprehensive reports of findings.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Practiced in one or more areas of civil litigation, including employment and labor law.
  • Motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong writing, research, and interpersonal skills.
  • Admission to New Jersey and/or New York Bar required; Pennsylvania Bar is a plus.

Litigation Associate

SAIBER LLC is seeking a junior to mid-level litigation associate with 3-6 years of litigation, insurance coverage and/or employment law experience to join our Florham Park office. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare briefs, pleadings, motions, and other related litigation documents.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Litigation experience, including discovery, depositions and preparing dispositive motions.

SAIBER LLC is seeking a mid to senior level corporate attorney with 5-8 years of M&A/corporate transactional experience to join our Florham Park office. Key responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with a variety of corporate matters, including entity formation and corporate governance, contract drafting and negotiation and providing counsel regarding corporate disputes.
  • Providing advice to clients on joint ventures, purchases and sales of businesses and other M&A transactions.
  • Drafting and negotiating agreements such as license agreements, supply and distribution agreements, services agreement, limited liability company operating agreements, shareholders’ agreements and executive employment agreements

Successful candidates will possess the following

  • 5-8 years of significant corporate transactional and M&A experience
  • Strong writing, research and interpersonal skills
  • Admission to New Jersey and/or New York Bar required; Pennsylvania Bar is a plus.

Legal Assistant

SAIBER LLC is looking to hire a legal assistant to join its Florham Park office. This position will support attorneys in the litigation and labor and employment practice groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe/ draft/ edit legal documents and correspondence for multiple attorneys
  • Enter attorneys’ time into billing system; generate, edit and finalize pre-bills/bills and forward to clients; maintain edit sheet
  • Schedule court depositions, hearings, and other meetings; maintain calendars including attorneys’ appearances and docketing calendars as needed
  • File, organize, maintain, scan and copy legal documents
  • Accurately file documents with the courts in a timely manner
  • Respond to phone calls and emails as appropriate
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail plus documents to be delivered using overnight services, certified mail and lawyers service
  • Prepare and submit expense reports and American Express charges
  • Provide backup coverage for reception and office clerks as needed

Requirements and skills:

  • Understanding of a variety of legal documents, court procedures (federal, state and local) and terminology; familiarity with e-filing systems
  • Superior level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word, including, but not limited to,  editing/tracking changes, creating TOAs/TOCs via Best Authority and creating/merging mailings
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Power Point
  • Proficiency in Adobe for Bates stamping, converting and redacting documents
  • Familiarity with time entry systems, such as SurePoint
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Able to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a 2-year college degree
  • 3-5 years of similar law firm experience required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
