ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT

We encourage our attorneys to assume responsibility early in their careers. Our goal is to have associates providing hands-on support as soon as possible by working directly with clients, participating in court procedures and depositions, leading client calls and attending closings. Our dedication to serving our clients is paramount and only attainable by proactively incorporating the help of our associates.

Our members maintain an open door policy at all times to encourage an open dialogue between members and associates. We provide mentors to new associates to guide learning, development and transition, as well as to act as a professional development sounding board. We invest in our attorneys through informal training programs, including practice-focused workshops, continuing legal education seminars, and other informal training programs to promote learning and professional growth.

Associate Attorney -- Litigation

Saiber LLC is seeking an associate for its Florham Park office with 1-3 years litigation experience, including business, employment and/or insurance coverage experience.  Admission to New Jersey and New York Bar required; Pennsylvania Bar is a plus. Federal or New Jersey Appellate, Chancery or Law Division clerkship is preferred.

Candidates for this position must possess outstanding academic credentials, strong writing and communication skills, the ability to work independently and the desire to grow and succeed as a professional through hard work and a willingness to learn.

Transactional/Lending/Real Estate Paralegal

Saiber is seeking an experienced paralegal to assist our transactional, lending and real estate practices.  Paralegal certificate or college degree with at least 5 years of law firm on the job paralegal training required. New Jersey Notary Public a plus.

Must be detail oriented, an independent self-starter, able to assist in busy practice, and have strong project management skills. Candidate should have the ability to assist on a file from contract negotiation/execution or loan submission through closing and be able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

Candidate ideally should have represented banks/lending institutions, and should have experience reviewing loan commitments, drafting loan documents, and reviewing all due diligence items in connection with the loan. Experience with New Jersey lending required, and New York and/or Pennsylvania lending a plus.

Ability to handle corporate work preferred, including preparation of annual minutes, annual reports, operating agreements, by-laws, and formation and general upkeep of entity.

Manage all aspects of commercial loans (representing both banks and borrowers), as well as handling commercial real estate closings, in particular:

  • Review of title binders, identify issues needing resolution and work with all parties to satisfy same;
  • Read survey description, analyze survey, and compare to title property description;
  • Draft/review loan documents and/or transactional real estate documents, including notes, mortgages, deeds, transfer tax forms, NJ Bulk Sales Tax forms, Affidavits of Title, leases/amendments/terminations, UCCs, SNDAs, and estoppels;
  • Prepare/calculate figures/closing costs, closing statements, and disbursement authorizations for funds;
  • Record/file all documents, handle all post-closing items through issuance of title policy, including completion of post-closing binders.

Skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HUD-1 RESPA settlement software [required only for residential closings].
