Saiber is pleased to announce that the Firm has been honored by the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark with its 2019 Golden Hammer Award. Each year, the award is given to organizations and individuals who have been instrumental in advancing Habitat’s mission to build homes, communities and hope. This year, over 100 business owners and members of the community gathered to celebrate the achievements of Habitat at its annual banquet at Newark’s historic Priory on November 14th. Saiber was one eight honorees to be recognized.
For over five years, Saiber has partnered with the Greater Newark chapter of Habitat for Humanity, helping homebuyers negotiate through the paperwork associated with a home purchase. Habitat for Humanity is a world service organization that provides affordable homes with interest-free mortgages to families in need. Saiber attorneys assist Habitat’s partner families in all facets of a closing, including reviewing real estate and loan documents, explaining purchase and mortgage terms, reviewing calculations and providing advice on the funds necessary for the closing. Many of Habitat for Humanity’s clients are underserved members of the community, including veterans, immigrants and families of disabled children.
