Saiber LLC is pleased to announce that higher education and employment law attorney DanaLynn Colao has been appointed as Co-Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Higher Education Committee. As Co-Chair, DanaLynn will work closely with the Co-Chair on committee initiatives and projects.
The New Jersey State Bar Association (“NJSBA”) serves as the voice of New Jersey attorneys, supporting more than 18,000 members by fostering professionalism, advancing personal development and encouraging participation. The NJSBA’s Higher Education Special Committee addresses issues of concern to attorneys representing colleges and universities, including denial of tenure, student discipline, discrimination claims, immigration questions and restriction of commercial speech.
DanaLynn’s practice focuses on higher education and school law, employment and labor issues, contract matters, and professional liability. She counsels clients on a wide array of issues that arise in the workplace including new hires, medical leaves of absence, wage and hour claims, employment agreements, discrimination and harassment grievances, restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements, termination decisions as well as separation agreements. DanaLynn routinely prepares and updates employee handbooks, and provides training to clients on various topics, including appropriate conduct in the workplace, harassment, discrimination, family leave and effective communication and management of employees. She also has extensive experience conducting comprehensive investigations of a variety of matters for public and private clients, including inappropriate conduct in the workplace, ethical violations, conflicts of interest, policy violations and bullying.
DanaLynn earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and her B.A. from American University.
