John J. Lyons

John J. Lyons is an associate in Saiber LLC's Business Litigation and Employment & Labor Law practice groups. He represents private businesses, public entities, educational institutions, and individuals in commercial and employment disputes in New Jersey state and federal courts, in arbitration, and before administrative agencies.

John's business litigation practice includes contract disputes, business torts, professional liability defense, intellectual property disputes, real estate litigation, shareholder disputes, and other complex commercial litigation. He also counsels clients on pre-suit strategy and early dispute resolution to help avoid litigation whenever possible, and represents businesses responding to government investigations and regulatory inquiries.

In his employment practice, John defends employers in discrimination, retaliation, harassment, whistleblower, wage and hour, and other workplace matters under state and federal law. He represents employers in investigations and proceedings before state and federal agencies and advises them on workplace policies, internal investigations, leave and accommodation issues, restrictive covenants, joint employment disputes, and employment risk. John also represents employers involving traditional labor disputes, including collective bargaining, grievance proceedings, and labor arbitrations.

Prior to joining Saiber, John practiced employment law at another New Jersey law firm. He also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Lourdes Lucas, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage, and previously interned for the Honorable Stephen L. Petrillo, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage.
