Saiber LLC is pleased to announce the launch of its Cannabis Law practice, a newly formed group ready to assist entrepreneurs and businesses navigating the significant and complex legal challenges of New Jersey’s anticipated recreational cannabis industry. Consisting of attorneys from several practice areas, the group will offer a broad range of services, including guidance on regulatory compliance matters, licensing, employment issues, tax, and real estate and land use matters.
The practice is led by Jeremy P. Kleiman, a member of the firm’s Gaming Law and Administrative & Regulatory practice groups. Mr. Kleiman draws on over twenty years of experience within highly regulated industries. “Our experience advising clients in regulatory matters before a broad spectrum of state administrative agencies serves as a strong foundation to provide guidance within the cannabis industry,” commented Kleiman. “We recognize the complex nature of this emerging industry and are committed to helping new and existing clients achieve their business goals in this evolving area of law,” he added.
Concurrently, Saiber has launched its cannabis law-focused blog New Jersey Cannabis Counsel, which closely monitors the proposed legislation before the New Jersey State Senate. The blog provides insight on a range of legal topics, including legislation, licensing, regulation, tax and entrepreneurship. Alexander Banzhaf will serve as managing editor, with guest posts provided by other attorneys involved with the practice.
