Saiber gaming attorney Kevin Hayes recently helped secure a significant license approval for our client, Golden Nugget Online Gaming, Inc. (GNOG) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. With this approval, GNOG will become only one of two online gaming companies in Pennsylvania that are authorized to operate an online casino without having to also be affiliated with a land-based casino.
At its public meeting held on July 26th, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approved GNOG as the Commonwealth’s second Qualified Gaming Entity (QGE), which enables GNOG to offer multiple online skins, much like Pennsylvania’s land-based casinos. After completing a successful test period, GNOG obtained PGCB-approval to launch its online slots and table games in Pennsylvania yesterday, August 10th.
Kevin played an instrumental role in obtaining the approval for GNOG, which included successfully navigating the PGCB’s licensing and petition processes, which closed in March for all QGE applicants.
