Saiber represented Merkur Group, a major European games developer headquartered in Germany, in connection with its acquisition of Gaming Arts, LLC, a Las Vegas based developer of slot machines slot machines, bingo and keno solutions, as well as electronic table games. Firmly established in the U.S. gaming market, Gaming Arts brings with it a strong national network and an extensive customer base.
In May of this year, Merkur Group was granted a license to manufacture and distribute Merkur products in the state of Nevada. At the same time, the Nevada Gaming Commission approved the acquisition of Gaming Arts, LLC. This transaction was successfully completed on September 15.
According to a press release issued by Merkur, the cooperation signals Merkur’s intention to become a direct supplier in North America. In addition, the transaction strategically capitalizes on the collaboration and joint development of Merkur, with its stature, capabilities and reach as an established gaming supplier and Gaming Arts, an emerging gaming technology provider.
