Saiber frequently serves as local counsel to out-of-state law firms and the clients they represent. Our attorneys have substantial experience with the local practices, rules and procedures in the three vicinages in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey -- Newark, Trenton and Camden -- as well as the various state courts throughout New Jersey. In addition, we regularly appear before the judges and magistrates judges in each of these courts.
Building strong lines of communication is essential to a successful working relationship as co-counsel. In that regard, we work closely with our clients and their national counsel to ensure a cohesive strategy, while providing guidance on procedural nuances and practices unique to New Jersey’s federal and state courts. As co-counsel, we assist with preparation and filing of pleadings and pre-answer motions; discovery and depositions practice and disputes; pre-trial motions, briefings and oral argument; and trial practice and appeals. We are also experienced in advising clients on arbitration and mediation proceedings, including representing our clients throughout the ADR process and recommending appropriate arbitrators and mediators.
Our attorneys handle matters that span a variety of practices and industries. We have particular strength in litigating matters that involve intellectual property/patent infringement disputes (including Hatch-Waxman ANDA litigation); antitrust, trade regulation, trade secrets and unfair competition claims; class action and Consumer Fraud Act defense; and general business torts and commercial disputes. We also counsel corporations and other clients in the investigation and analysis of trademark searches; trademark and copyright registrations; and the use, licensing and acquisition of intellectual property rights. In recent years, we have represented business in industries that include: pharmaceuticals, healthcare, medical device, life-sciences, software, retail, automotive, and apparel.
Our team includes several Masters of the John C. Lifland Federal Practice/Intellectual Property American Inn of Court, a trustee of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey and several attorneys who are active in the International Trademark Association. In addition, many of our attorneys served as law clerks in New Jersey’s federal and state courts.
We welcome the opportunity to partner with you in the service of your needs for assistance with legal representation in New Jersey.
